CHRIS SIEBOLD
Chris Siebold has been playing guitar for twenty two years. He draws from a deep well of influences and plays many styles of music from blue grass to big band jazz. He can rock pretty hard too. Immediately after graduating with a degree in music/performance from Elmhurst College, Chris began teaching jazz improvisation for guitar and leading the Gretsch Guitar Ensemble there. He has been teaching at the at the college level for seven years. Chris also teaches clinics on his instrument and has been featured in many summer jazz programs at schools across the state.

As a freelance guitarist , Chris plays in many area bands including Kick the Cat, Howard Levy's Acoustic Express, Patricia Barber, Anne Harris band, The E-Mics, Sellout, HardArt groop, Tributosaurus, Erin Stitzel, Ladies of the Canyon, Kimo Williams' Kimotion, Johnny Frigo, Cathy Richardson Band, Jenna Mammina, Aaron McEvers Quintet, Tim Fox Trio, Chevere, Stitely Orchestra, Maxwell St. Klezmer Band, TMS Trio, and Rob Parton's Jazz-Tech Big Band.

Chris is fluent on many instruments besides the guitar including bass guitar, lap steel guitar, mandolin, mandocello, mountain and hammered dulcimers, banjo, and percussion. He has been on many recordings and jingle dates over the years using these instruments to varying degrees.
